Hiway has made a commitment to assist our members in getting on the right track, or getting back on track — whichever the case may be. Our Builder accounts are designed for members who do not currently qualify for some of Hiway's other products or services.
A $5 balance in your Share Savings Builder account represents your credit union share, and entitles you to lots of Hiway's benefits.
Apply for our Share Savings account and if your credit score is under 600, you may be offered the Share Savings Builder account.
The purpose of this account is to give you an opportunity to establish a savings plan and to work towards improving your situation so that you may qualify for future services, such as revolving credit lines, Visa® credit cards and more.
After 12 months, your Share Savings Builder account will be reviewed and moved to a traditional Savings account if the following criteria is met:
The Builder account fee is $5 per month (fee assessed on the last business day of the month). The fee will be taken from the Checking Builder account; if unavailable, fee will be taken from Share Savings Builder. Fee is waived each month a deposit of $25 or more is made to a Certificate Builder under this membership. If you're interested in opening a Certificate Builder, contact us today.
