It's easy to set spending targets with Money Tracker. And once you have them, they can keep you grounded when the festivities get going in earnest.
Setting spending targets may be the best decision you make all season! And we've made sure doing it is just as easy.
There are other great features that Money Tracker provides like monthly cash flow, spending patterns and the like. But let's keep it simple. Set your spending targets before the holidays heat up. You'll be glad you did.
How to Set a Spending Target
With Money Tracker it's easy to set a spending target and see how well your spending goals match your spending habits.
- Log in and click the Money Tracker button.
- Click on the Budget tab and click the Add a New Spending Target button.
- Complete the fields to pick the tags you want to track for the target, name the target, set a monthly limit and track the accounts that will count towards the target.
Repeat for other spending categories — some of the most common expenses to track are groceries, transportation and dining out. Budgets will automatically reflect recent purchases based on the selected tags and will let you know when you're spending too heavily.
We know that the toughest thing about online financial management (OFM) is simply organizing all the details of your financial life. That's why we're excited to announce that new improvements to Money Tracker are rolling out on Wednesday, March 3.
Money Tracker is built to make it much easier to understand your spending and gain insights about how your money comes and goes each month. That means you can focus on doing what you need to do, rather than organizing all the information on your own.
Money Tracker can help you stay on top of your bills, your cash flow and your entire financial picture, so you can set clear goals and achieve them.
Smarter Spending
On the home page of Money Tracker you’ll see a spending wheel that shows you at a glance how much you’re spending on bill paying, entertainment/dining, retail, groceries and more. This gives you a head start on breaking your spending into more specific categories.
Better Budgeting
Build and view spending targets that are important to your financial big picture. The new insights feature provides your spending history, along with suggestions for staying on track.
