Do you ever have to rush into the branch over your lunch hour to deposit a check? Or maybe you live out of town and have to wait for your check to reach Hiway in the mail before you get access to your funds. At Hiway, there are faster and easier ways to get access to your money.
Mobile Banking allows you to deposit checks into your account(s) in a snap using our Mobile Banking App for iPhone® and AndroidTM devices.
How it works
It's as simple as taking a photo and each step in the process is described right on screen. Just click on Make a Deposit to get started.
Approval for the service may take 1 – 2 business days after registering and then you can start making deposits:
- Choose the account to receive the check deposit
- Enter the check deposit amount
- Take a picture of the front and back of the check using the camera in your mobile device
- The back of your check should include the following:
- Signature of all payees
- Member Number
- The words "Mobile Deposit to Hiway on (mm/dd/yyyy)"
- Review and submit the check images for deposit into your account
Funds will immediately appear in your account. However, in some instances your check may be rejected and the funds will be withdrawn from your account. You should check your email for status updates on your deposit. You will receive an email stating that Hiway RECEIVED your deposit and within 24 hours will receive a second email stating if your deposit has been ACCEPTED or REJECTED. If you don't receive a status email, please review this FAQ.
Please do not write any further notes on your check after depositing it. You should retain your original check for 90 days in a secure location and then shred it.
*In order to be eligible for Mobile Deposit, you must be at least 18 years of age and your account must be in good standing with no delinquencies. If you are between the ages of 13 - 17 and would like to use this service, you and the joint tenants on your account will need to complete and sign additional documentation (PDF). Service not available for Share Builder, HSA and Business Savings Basic accounts. Standard data rates may apply.
Remote Deposit is the convenient, simple and secure way to make deposits into your Hiway Business Account without ever leaving the comfort of your office. By being able to electronically scan and submit checks 24/7, you'll have more time to concentrate on growing your business.
How it works
Simply scan the business checks you want to deposit with a check transport scanner. The images are then transmitted to Hiway through a secure, encrypted internet connection and the deposit is credited to your account.
How much does it cost?
The only charge is a $50 monthly Remote Deposit Capture fee. Hiway will provide you with a check transport scanner for free and assist you with installing the necessary software on your computer. Plus, we'll guide you on how to use the software and answer any questions you may have about Remote Deposit.
