How do I get logged into Tellernet for the first time?

Simply follow the steps outlined in the First Time Tellernet First Login Instructions.

I just can't seem to get logged in. Who should I contact for help?

During business hours you can contact Member Services at 651.291.1515 or 800.899.5626 and they will be happy to help you access your account. If you've logged in previously, you can also try resetting your password.

There can be a number of reasons why you may not be able to access your account even when entering the correct password:

  • Your web browser or firewall security settings are not allowing us to store secure session cookies for your login.
  • A joint member on your account may have updated the password.
  • Multiple bad logins can disable additional login attempts for a period of time. This is done to discourage an identity thief from trying to guess your password. Continued bad login attempts will disable login access completely. Access can be restored again by contacting Member Services.
  • For your security, accounts that haven't been accessed online in over 180 days have their login access disabled. Access can be restored again by contacting Member Services.
Why do I have to enter all these security questions and personal information?

NCUA Regulations require us to place heavy security features on our self-service channels to make sure that we are taking the steps necessary to verify our members' identities and safeguard their personal and account data.

Why do I need to give my email address?

There are several areas on our site that require an e-mail address in order to communicate with you. Plus, if you do not provide an email address, you will not receive balance alerts or get notifications when your eStatements are available. If you currently do not have one please create one at Yahoo or Google; the process is very simple and takes only a few minutes to complete.

To ensure that you receive e-mail notifications please add homebanking@hiway.org and hiwayfcu@hiway.org to your e-mail address book.

I own a business and use Tellernet Online Banking; I cannot register or sign up?

For your first login to Tellernet you will need to enter the last 4-digits of your business TIN or Social Security number. As a business account, you will use your Account Open Date in the date of birth section.

How do I update my Challenge Questions for accessing Tellernet?

Once you have logged into Tellernet, click on User Options under the Accounts menu on the left of the page. Then click on the Update Your Challenge Questions link. If you are unable to log in, Member Services can update your questions and answers for you if you call them at 651.291.1515 or 800.899.5626.
