Hiway's Roseville branch was recently named a finalist for the Future Branches: Outstanding Branch Design award.

Future Branches, a national-level event, gets credit union and bank leaders from institutions large and small together to explore how financial institutions capitalize on their physical spaces by revamping in-store technology, energizing front-line associates and reimagining traditional branch processes to meet the ever-changing demands of members and customers.

“It’s such an honor that our work in Roseville has been not only been nominated but is a finalist for this design honor,” said Hiway Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Tara Graff, who led the branch design and build project the St. Paul-based institution. “So many people share the credit, including several of my Hiway colleagues, our design partner HTG Architects, and Carlson-LaVine, our general contractor. We had a vision for what we needed from our branch to serve our members in a new way, along.”

The branch, which opened in the spring of 2021, offers innovative features and perks for members. With plenty of space in the 17,000 square foot facility for a tenant, Hiway partnered with one of the United States' fastest-growing quick-serve brands, Dunkin'. Fully staffed ITM technology helps members handle basic transactions at Roseville, a first for Hiway and an offering that's still rare in the Twin Cities market. In addition, Hiway added several safety and sustainability features to the branch, including solar panels, automatic lighting, touchless bathroom fixtures, AtmosAir ionization technology, and free-to-all EV chargers.

Financial institutions were nominated for the following award categories: Outstanding Branch Design, Most Effective Branch Technology Implementation, and Best Revamped Staffing Model. The nomination process began in earlier this year and finalists were notified in November prior to the December Future Branches Austin conference. Only banks and credit unions are eligible for nominations. The finalists are selected by a panel of independent judges selected by the Future Branches team, and the winners in each category will be selected by attendees at the conference.
