Finance & Commerce recently presented its prestigious Top Projects Award to Hiway Credit Union, as well as design partner HTG and construction partner Carlson-LaVine, honoring Hiway’s new Roseville branch. The awards recognize achievements in the construction industry and our community.
Hiway’s Roseville branch, which opened in the spring of 2021, offers innovative features and perks for members, including state-of-the-art technology enabling members to complete basic transactions via associate-supported ITMs, and a team of universal service representatives, as well as a mortgage advisor, are on-site to assist with more complex needs. In addition, the branch offers safety and sustainability features such as a powerful rooftop solar array, touchless bathroom fixtures, AtmosAir ionization technology, and free-to-all EV chargers. The branch also includes a full-service Dunkin’ to satisfy a person’s sweet tooth or coffee craving.
“We’re thrilled to receive this recognition from Finance & Commerce,” said Hiway Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Tara Graff, who led the branch design and build project for the St. Paul-based institution. “There is so much incredible development happening in our market, and it’s humbling to be included among the metro’s best.”
This award recognizes the developers, designers, builders and financiers who are quite literally building our community. Finance & Commerce Top Projects is a yearly look back at the excellent work that’s happened in the previous year and marvel at how these plans and projects remade the landmarks of the past or established the landmarks of the future. Projects are judged for their degree of difficulty, creativity in design, innovative construction techniques, cooperation among contractors and management, and sustainability effort.
The Hiway team chose Eden Prairie-based HTG Architects as their design partner, and Roseville-based Carlson-LaVine as the general contractor. Both firms also worked with Hiway on the credit union’s beautiful new Woodbury branch, which opened in June.
This isn’t the first honor for Hiway’s Roseville branch. It was chosen by attendees of the Future Branches conference for excellence in design, and was also recognized by the Credit Union National Association and the Marketing Association of Credit Unions.
“Finance & Commerce Top Projects represent the best of the region’s built environment. Honoring the best building and construction projects in Minnesota,” said Bill Gaier Publisher of Finance & Commerce. “Every year, the projects seem to increase the creativity, level difficulty and innovative construction technique. We are proud to honor each of these winners.”
