We are happy to announce the recipients of the 2020 Hiway Foundation Scholarships. This year, the Foundation awarded 18, $1,000 scholarships to area seniors who are planning to continue their education.
Founded in 2018, this is the second year the Hiway Foundation has provided scholarships to area students. In 2019, the Foundation awarded 10, $1,000 scholarships to students in the Twin Cities.
Recipients were selected based on need, academic performance, community involvement, volunteering, school activities along with the student’s other accomplishments. The applicants were also required to submit an essay on a personal experience of having to make a crucial financial decision and why they made their specific choice.

- Ryan Seidl: Pequot Lakes HS
- Piper Gallivan: Highland Park HS
- Mai Lee: Highland Park HS
- Tawfeeq Akindele: Highland Park HS
