Hiway Credit Union Foundation, an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization established by Hiway Credit Union® (Hiway), raised more than $125,000 at the credit union’s Sixth Annual Curling Fundraising Event, a new fundraising record for the Hiway Foundation’s curling event.

The event was held at the St. Paul Curling Club on November 4, 2023. Over 100 business and community partners, including Minnesota credit union representatives and educators, attended the event to enjoy a curling competition, lunch buffet, raffle, and silent auction. Profits from the event benefit financial well-being and the development of life skills for underserved youth in the community.

“Our foundation’s annual curling event has proven to be something special, and a true reflection of the credit union principle of People Helping People. Those who have attended this event can attest to the excitement and electricity in the club on this day,” said Christine Cordell, Hiway Senior Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness and Hiway Credit Union Foundation Board Chair. “For the second year in a row, we have reached event capacity and the funds raised to support the well-being of our underserved youth continues to grow beyond our wildest dreams. As a result, our Foundation has more resources to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. We are grateful to our sponsors, participants, volunteers, and to our gracious host, the St. Paul Curling Club, who work hard to help make this event one that we all look forward to each and every year. Thank you!”
