Hiway Credit Union’s Deb Cariveau-Rogers and Andy Deans were recently named the Volunteer of the Year from two Twin Cities based organizations.

Cariveau-Rogers, Hiway’s marketing manager, was named 2020 Volunteer of the Year for the Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN) Foundation Scholarship Council, which raises funds for and promotes college scholarships for credit union members. The Council strives to build credit union brand awareness and strengthen member relationships through its scholarship program. Since 1997, over 340 scholarships have been awarded to credit union members, totaling $209,000. Cariveau-Rogers has served on the council since 2011.

Deans, Hiway’s mortgage servicing manager, was named Civilian Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Supporter of the Year by the 133rd Airlift Wing of the Minnesota Air National Guard. St. Paul’s Yellow Ribbon Network is an organization committed to helping military members, veterans and their families.  Deans serves both the St. Paul Beyond the Yellow Ribbon and the Hiway Beyond the Yellow Ribbon groups. He is also co-chairman of the St. Paul BYR. Deans is also an active supporter of many other organizations related to military and veterans.

“Deb and Andy do so much for their communities, and both are excellent examples of contributing outside their everyday work responsibilities to support and give back to their communities,” said Dave Boden, Hiway CEO/President. “Hiway is very proud to have them as a part of our team and it is great to see them recognized for their commitment and their generosity. These two really reflect our values.”
