Hiway’s CEO/President Dave Boden and Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Development Tara Graff were recently named Notable Executives in the Twin Cities by the Twin Cities Business magazine. Boden was honored as a “Notable Finance Executive” and Graff recognized as a “Notable Marketing Executive.”
Boden has served as Hiway’s CEO/President since 2013. He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. During Boden’s tenure as CEO/President, the credit union has seen substantial growth in both assets and memberships, growing from $910M to $1.6B in assets and from 61,000 to 79,000 members.
He is particularly passionate about military and veterans’ causes and has been Chairman of the City of Saint Paul Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Steering Committee since 2015. The St. Paul BYR organization, and Hiway’s internal BYR group, have been recognized by the MN National Guard for work on behalf of veterans, servicemembers and families on several occasions. He is on the board of directors of United Financials Making a Difference (UFMD) and the board at Spare Key, a Saint Paul-based organization whose mission is to provide assistance to families experiencing a medical crisis.
Boden is also actively involved with the Minnesota Credit Union Network (MNCUN) – the state trade and advocacy organization for MN credit unions and serves on the MNCUN Board of Directors.
Graff, who joined Hiway in 2018, is a 10+ year marketing veteran of the credit union industry. Graff led Hiway’s rebranding following their change from a federally chartered credit union to a state charter during this past year. She is currently leading the St. Paul-based credit union in the development, launch and marketing of their new Roseville branch, and soon, their Woodbury branch. Tara is a graduate of the Credit Union Executive Society CEO Institute, completing her three-year experience in 2019. In 2014, she was named a Credit Union Rock Star by Credit Union magazine.
