Hiway Credit Union’s President/CEO Dave Boden was recently inducted into the Credit Union House Hall of Leaders in Washington, DC. He received the honor during the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) annual Governmental Affairs Conference.
“It’s incredible to now be a part of the Hall of Leaders,” said Boden. “I’m among such good company, with so many credit union difference-makers. I do want to share the honor with the Hiway associate team and our leadership, as well as our members and communities. This recognition is because of them, their drive, their support and their membership.”
Boden has been with Hiway for more than 20 years and has served as President/CEO since 2013. Under his leadership, Hiway has experienced significant growth in both assets and members. Boden has overseen many key growth projects, including the launch of the Hiway Credit Union Foundation, branch network expansion, rebranding and several critical technology initiatives. He also works closely with internal groups and initiatives, including the credit union’s MILE (diversity-equity-inclusion) Committee, HYPE (Hiway’s Young Professionals) and Hiway GPS (Hiway’s service standards).
Outside of Hiway, Boden is active in furthering the credit union movement. He serves on the MnCUN Board of Directors, and previously served as chair of the network’s Political Involvement Committee. In addition, Boden has long championed Hiway’s significant community support efforts, including raising tens of thousands of dollars in support of Gillette Children’s through both associate giving and Hiway’s award-winning Hockey Kids4Kids program. He is also active in several military and veterans’ causes and serves as chair of St. Paul’s Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Steering Committee.
Boden’s Hall of Leaders induction comes on the heels of another notable honor last year, when he was named MnCUN’s Professional of the Year.
