Frequently Asked Account Questions

Q: How do I dispute this item on my Visa statement? What is the process?
A: You may dispute a Visa transaction by writing to: Customer Service, P.O. Box 31112, Tampa FL 33631-3112 (see back of your Visa statement for specific details), or you may contact the Card Services Dept at (651) 291-1515 or (800) 899-5626.

Q: Does the Hiway Visa card work in foreign countries? Do I have to let you know I'm going?
A: Your Hiway Visa cards are accepted anywhere you see the Visa logo. If traveling abroad or making a large purchase with your credit card, it is a good idea to contact us to avoid a possible block on the card use due to suspicious transactions. **Please note that the foreign dollar amount converts to US currency on the posting date, not the transaction date.

Q: I have United States Saving Bonds - Does the Credit Union handle these?
A: Yes! We do handle U.S. Savings Bonds. To purchase or redeem savings bonds, please pick up an application from the Teller line at either of our branch locations.

Q: What is the process for increasing my Visa credit limit?
A: For credit increases or card upgrades, you can apply online through our website, or request an application via email or telephone (651) 291-1515 or (800) 899-5626.

Q: Are there restrictions on the number of transfers I can complete in a month? How about on the transfer amount?
A: You may conduct as many electronic transactions per month as you'd like from your checking account (although after 12 ATM transactions you will be charged $1.00 per transaction). Electronic transactions include Tellernet transfers or ATM transfers or withdrawals, as well as automatic transfers for Hiway loan payments. You may conduct up to six (6) electronic transactions per account per month from all other accounts. The minimum transfer amount from a Money Market account is $500, and the minimum online transfer amount from a Home Equity Line of Credit account is $500.
